Summary:
While visiting her Grandma Kit who is a
rare coin collector, Jenny learns the history of a special 1943 copper
penny. “Penny’s” musical journey begins with her unique "birth" at a
U.S. mint. Soon after, Mr. Pup, the ice cream man, wishes on Penny and
tosses her into a fountain. Penny hopes to make his wish come true.
When she joins a coin collection inside a safe in Ireland, Penny tells
the exotic coins about Mr. Pup’s secret wish. From the shadows, Massa,
the oldest coin in the safe, whispers, “See the wish, and the wish will
come true.”
“See the wish? What does that mean?” It takes an ice cream
cart, a cupful of free pennies, math homework, a magnet, and a big
mistake to reveal the surprising truth about Penny’s real worth and the
power of wishing!
